I was inspired to write this based on Faustus's summary of their honeymoon in the November 12th chat. This fic was actually written on April 24, 2023, but shhhh!
On their honeymoon, Faustus and Freya
found themselves, hand-in-hand, lost in the enchanting streets of Prague. The
city's old-world charm was a perfect match for their passionate love affair.
Everywhere they looked, they saw beauty and wonder. The city's architecture was
breath-taking, with its Gothic spires and ornate buildings that seemed to reach
up to the sky. As they walked along the winding cobblestone streets, they were
struck by the charm and grace of this ancient city. They lost themselves in the
narrow alleyways and hidden courtyards, each one more enchanting than the last.
As they wandered through the twisting
streets of Prague one day, Freya's eyes were drawn to a narrow alleyway. She
tugged on Faustus' hand, pulling him towards it. The alley was dark and
shadowy, but something about it called to her. She stepped forward, peering
into the gloom. At first, she saw nothing but darkness. But as her eyes
adjusted, she began to make out the shapes of buildings looming on either side
of her. And then, just ahead, she caught sight of a glimmering light.
Heart racing with curiosity, Freya
stepped forward. As she drew closer, she realized that the light was coming
from a small courtyard hidden away from the main street. It was like a secret
garden, surrounded by tall walls and filled with blooming flowers and lush
greenery. The secret courtyard was filled with vibrant colours and sweet
fragrances. Freya couldn't help but be captivated by the beauty of the flowers
surrounding her. She saw bright pink roses, delicate purple lavender, and
clusters of yellow daisies, all blooming in perfect harmony. The greenery was
just as impressive, with tall bushes of emerald-green ivy winding their way up
the walls and lush ferns growing in every corner. It was a true oasis in the
midst of the city's hustle and bustle.
Freya gasped in delight at the sight
before her. She felt as though she had stumbled upon a treasure trove, a secret
place meant only for her and Faustus to discover. With a smile on her face and
excitement in her heart, she tugged on Faustus' hand once more and led him into
the hidden courtyard, eager to explore every inch of this magical space.
"My goodness," Faustus
breathed as they stepped into the courtyard together. "What a find you've
made, my dear."
Freya turned to Faustus and beamed
with joy. "I knew we had to come here," she said, her golden eyes
sparkling with excitement. "This is exactly what I needed today." She
took a deep breath, inhaling the sweet fragrance of the flowers that surrounded
them. "It's like we've stumbled upon a secret paradise," she added,
looking around at the colourful plant life. "I feel like we're in our own
little world here." Freya walked further into the courtyard, admiring the
beauty of each flower and plant. "Isn't it incredible?" she asked
Faustus, turning back to him with a grin.
"It certainly is," Faustus
agreed, charmed by his wife's delight. It was so peaceful here, away from their
rowdy friends. Part of him never wanted to leave.
The air was filled with a sense of
magic and mystery, and Faustus and Freya felt as though anything was possible
in this wondrous place. They knew that they had found something truly special
in Prague, something that would stay with them for the rest of their lives.
The next day, while exploring the
city's markets, Freya stumbled upon an herb garden. She was immediately drawn
to it. Her eyes widened with excitement as she scanned the rows of herbs in the
market. She spotted a pot of chamomile, known for its calming properties and
ability to relieve stress. Next to it was a bundle of lavender, which could be
used to ease headaches and promote relaxation. As she walked along, she saw a
display of peppermint, which can aid digestion and freshen breath.
Further down the aisle, Freya came
across a patch of echinacea, known for boosting immunity and fighting off
colds. Beside it was a pot of feverfew, which can help alleviate migraines and
reduce inflammation. And finally, nestled at the end of the row was a small
plant called yarrow, which is said to have antiseptic properties and can be
used to treat wounds.
Freya's eyes widened with wonder as
she spotted a plant she had never seen before. "What is this?" she
asked the vendor, pointing at the green leaves with purple veins.
"That's dragonwort," the
vendor replied with a knowing smile. "It's known for its ability to
enhance psychic abilities and connect you to the spirit world."
Freya nodded; she'd thought so, but
she'd wanted to confirm it. She was, after all, a witch attending a school to
help her tame and enhance her magical abilities. As she continued down the
aisle, Freya spotted another intriguing plant. "And what about this
one?" she asked, gesturing towards a tall, spiky plant with bright red
flowers.
"That's bloodroot," the
vendor explained. "It's used in potions and spells related to love and
passion."
Freya felt her cheeks flush with
excitement as a slow grin came, unbidden, to her face.
But it wasn't just magical properties
that interested Freya. She also wanted to know which plants could be used for
physical healing. The vendor pointed out a small plant called moonwort, which
was said to have pain-relieving properties, and a bundle of mistletoe, which
was believed to boost fertility. After that, she spent several hours in deep
discussion with the local vendors about the medicinal properties of each plant.
Freya left the herb garden feeling
inspired and eager to share her findings with Faustus and start experimenting
with different blends and concoctions.
That night, over dinner, she told
Faustus about her rekindled obsession with herbs and he told her she'd make a
fine medicine woman. Faustus was thrilled by his wife's passion and encouraged
her to pursue her dreams.
They spent the next day in their
Prague estate experimenting with different herbal remedies. They had a whole
room dedicated to the herbs they had collected from the herb garden.
"Let's try this one," Freya
said, holding up a small jar filled with dried dragonwort leaves.
Faustus nodded, intrigued. "What
does it do?" he quizzed her.
"It enhances psychic abilities
and connects you to the spirit world," Freya replied with a smile.
Faustus raised an eyebrow, impressed.
"Very good. Let's give it a try."
They brewed a pot of tea using the
dragonwort leaves and sat down at their table, hands clasped around steaming
mugs. As they sipped the tea, they felt a strange sensation wash over them. The
room seemed to blur around the edges and colours became more vibrant.
"You've done well. Truly, this
is incredible," Faustus whispered, his eyes wide with wonder. Freya
smiled, feeling proud of her discovery.
They continued to experiment with
different blends of herbs, trying to find the perfect combination for healing
and enhancing their magical abilities. They laughed and joked as they mixed
potions in their cauldron and tested them out on each other.
"This one tastes like
cinnamon," Faustus said after taking a sip of a bright green potion made
with mint leaves and yarrow flowers.
Freya grinned. "That's because I
added some cinnamon bark for flavour."
Their experiments continued late into
the night until they were both exhausted from all the mixing and brewing. They
agreed to take a bath to wash the evidence of their many experiments from each
other's bodies. They made their way to the bathroom, feeling slightly giddy
from all the potions they had consumed. As they stripped off their clothes,
Freya couldn't help but notice how Faustus's eyes lingered on her body. She
smiled like she had the world's best secret... all to herself.
With a wave of Faustus's hand, the
bath was full of warm water and scented oils, ready for them to sink into. They
stepped in together, sighing with pleasure as the hot water enveloped them.
Freya leaned back against Faustus's chest, feeling his strong arms wrap around
her waist. She closed her eyes and let out a contented sigh as he began to
massage her shoulders and neck.
As they relaxed in each other's arms,
the steamy air filled with the scent of lavender and rosemary, they both felt a
sense of deep connection that went beyond words. This wasn't just about
experimenting with herbs or creating potions - this was about exploring their
bond and deepening their love for each other.
Freya turned around to face Faustus,
their bodies pressed close together in the small tub. Their faces were just
inches apart as they gazed into each other's eyes, lost in the moment. Without
a word, they leaned in for a kiss, their lips meeting with the tenderest of
touches. As they kissed, their hands roamed over each other's bodies, exploring
every curve and contour. The bathwater sloshed around them as they moved
together, lost in their passion. When they finally pulled away from each other,
both breathless and flushed with desire, they knew that this was only the
beginning of their magical journey together.
After the bath, they made their way
to their extravagant bedchamber, which was a sight to behold. The walls were
draped in rich, dark velvet curtains that pooled onto the marble floor. A
crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a warm glow over everything
below it. The centrepiece of the room was an enormous four-poster bed with
intricately carved wooden pillars and soft silk sheets in shades of deep red
and gold. Plush pillows and cushions were scattered across the bed, inviting
anyone who saw it to sink into its luxurious embrace. The room was filled with
other opulent furnishings such as a giant gilded mirror, a vanity table adorned
with jewels, and plush armchairs upholstered in velvet. Everything about the
room exuded wealth and extravagance - from the ornate details on the furniture
to the sumptuous fabrics that covered them. It was clear that no expense had
been spared in creating this chamber fit for royalty.
The moonlight streamed through the
window, casting a soft glow over Faustus and Freya as they slid into bed
together. Their bodies pressed close, arms wrapped tight around each other.
They were lost in each other's embrace, completely consumed by their love for
one another... for hours.
Afterwards, the room was quiet except
for the sound of their breathing, slow and steady as they drifted off to sleep.
But even in their dreams, they held onto each other tightly, unwilling to let
go. As the night wore on, they shifted positions, still entwined but finding
new ways to hold each other. Sometimes they would even sleepily mumble words of
love and adoration into each other's ears.
Eventually, the sun began to rise
outside and the birds started chirping their morning songs. But even as the
light crept into the room and the world outside came alive with activity,
Faustus and Freya remained locked in their embrace, lost in their own little
world of love and magic.
On the last day of their honeymoon
before heading back to California, they decided to do a little shopping.
Faustus wanted to buy Freya some new clothes in her favourite colours. They
came upon the perfect, hole-in-the-wall boutique, a hidden gem, nestled between
two larger and gaudier shops. Despite its small size, it was elegantly
decorated with ornate gold accents and crystal chandeliers that reflected the
light beautifully. The walls were lined with racks of clothing in every colour
imaginable, from soft pastels to bold jewel tones. Each garment was carefully
displayed on hangers or mannequins, showing off their unique details and
luxurious fabrics. In one corner of the store, there was a cosy seating area
with plush velvet chairs and a vintage coffee table stacked high with fashion
magazines. A warm and inviting atmosphere filled the air, drawing customers in
to browse through the latest styles and trends. From the intricate lace dresses
to the sparkling statement jewellery, everything in the boutique exuded
sophistication and glamour. It was clear that this shop catered to those who
appreciated quality and style above all else.
"I found the perfect dress for
you, my love," Faustus said as he held up a black velvet gown with long
flowing sleeves.
Freya's eyes widened with excitement.
"Oh, it's beautiful! But does it come in violet?"
Faustus chuckled. "Of course it
does, my little witch." And so they decided to get both.
They made their way to the checkout
counter where Freya spotted a display of dark crystal jewellery. She picked up
a necklace with a large amethyst pendant and held it up to her neck.
"What do you think?" she
asked Faustus.
He smiled. "It looks stunning on
you."
As they left the store, Freya twirled
around in her new dress, feeling like a queen of darkness, if she dared think
such a thing.
"Thank you so much, my
love," she said, kissing Faustus on the cheek. "This is the best
honeymoon ever."
As they walked hand in hand through
the city's winding streets on the last day of their honeymoon, Faustus couldn't
help but feel like he was living in a dream. He knew that no matter where life
took them next, he would always cherish this magical time in Prague with his
beloved Freya.
