"It's, um, cozy," Sebastian
remarked dryly.
"Pssst hey Sebastian guess what?"
~Skorpa
"Chicken butt."
"Well that to but no seriously..... No
one asked you" Skorpa whispered the last part before promptly flicking his
nose.
"What is it with you and
nose-flicking? This is, like, the second time," Sebastian said without
thinking.
"Is it? Was I drunk last time?" Skorpa
replied sort of snickering as he rested an arm on the others shoulder all to
casually. "But quit complaining. Could be so much worse" he added
with a rather wicked smirk.
"Uh, probably? You referred
to...." Then Sebastian realized what he was about to say and trailed off.
"Yeah, no, we were drunk. I'm sure you blacked out and forgot all about
it. It was actually rather heartwarming, in context."
"Eeewwww that sounds to mushy for my
liking. Stop speaking" Skorpa replied looking almost bored suddenly.
Sebastian cackled. "Who says I'm not
just screwing with you?" he asked, removing the other's hand from his
shoulder. "Seriously though, man, you clarified something for me that
night. Good stuff. Why do you live in a truck though?"
"It's cheaper than getting a place and
dealing with utilities and shit. Plus I actually fucking use it" Skorpa
replied with a shrug. Not the first time someone had asked.
"Cheaper?" Sebastian echoed.
"Why would that matter? I know paperwork is annoying, but just set
everything up on autopay, it's not that bad. And why wouldn't you actually use
your home, man?"
"Ok now you're starting to mozzy into
not your beezwax territory. So.... None of your beezwax Sebastian" Skorpa
replied rather bluntly. As if he felt like going into why affording a house
right now would add to the pains on his ass and he didn't feel like dealing
with a landlord.
"Ooh, touchy, touchy," Sebastian
taunted. "No, like I said, this is cozy. It's perfect for someone like
you, on the go a lot." He shrugged with indifference and then reached up
to flick Skorpa's nose. "But if you wanted a crashpad that's a little less
mobile, I got a house a few blocks from the courthouse. Got it a... year or so
after moving here, I think, and nowadays I just use it to hide out when I don't
feel like sleeping at Lux. Say the word and I'll have you a key made."
"No shit?..." Skorpa replied
raising an eyebrow at the other in thought. He seemed to think about it for a
minute as he eyed the truck which after what had happened needed some work.
Bitch wasn't moving for awhile. "Guess I'll have to check it out at some
point" He finally replied after a good minute thinking. Yeah Sebastian
seemed like somewhat of a pushover. How bad could it be?
"Cool. I'll have a key made for
you," Sebastian said. "Just don't disturb the neighbors. My best
friend's little sister and her girlfriend live right next door."
"Mmhmm what do you take me for? I'm
not that annoying" Skorpa teased a bit smartly. Well mostly, he definitely
wasn't the worst at annoying neighbors. That award would probably have gone to
Bjorgulf normally seeing as he'd been evicted for being to annoying before and
that was probably putting it lightly.
"Do you want an honest answer?"
Sebastian smarted right back. A wicked idea was forming in his head. "You
know what, I'll get that key to you today, actually...."
And he wandered off to Lux to grab some of
Serena's things that he knew Skorpa had seen her wearing and put them in his
closet, and then go to have that key made ....
